Thanks for the advice. My husband prefers Costa Mesa because it’s ocean close, inexpensive and close to shopping. We lived in Irvine so know that area well but I am not fond of Costa Mesa. We are in our early 50s and retirement is a couple of college tuitions away. (As soon as we figure out how to pay for the kids college, we’ll retire of course the latest stock market performance is delaying things.) But we keep hearing about how real estate prices have fallen thought we should start looking for where our retirement home should be.
