I have always, desired space between myself and the neighboors.
I have always, desired quietness.
I have always, desired old growth vegetation in and around the vicinity.
I have always, wanted a schtik of land to work with. ie work sheds, painting studios, veggie gardens, swings, poppies and tulips, and swing sets.
I have always, hated look-alike, cookie-cutter, “Pleasant Valley Sunday” type neighboorhoods.
I have always, liked being close to the urban life but have desired to be far enough away to enjoy all of the above…
I vote for the Mt. Helix area.
For 800K+…I’d be just fine for the rest of my life. :)
Agreed as to all of the above. I love the ’50’s/’60’s “vintage” homes on west-facing Mt. Helix even MORE than the ones in Fleetridge. If I didn’t have vertigo, I would consider this area for an architect-designed mid-century custom, even if I had to deal with leachfield/septic issues.
