We’re still checking out Vista and Escondido (as we prefer the lots, houses, and country feel of those areas). We just have to get it at a big enough discount to justify the additional commute.
Without a doubt, Vista and Escondido have some very nice houses and neighborhoods. Right now, though, those houses are priced similar to coastal houses (but they do have nicer lots, in general). We can’t justify a purchase like that.
Believe it or not, even though prices are holding up (and going up) in some areas, they are pretty soft in our ‘hood. We’re making offers, but have yet to get one accepted.
