So now that Romney’s foreign policy tour has pretty much been a disaster, does this change the game at all? Is Romney now forced to pick a VP Candidate with stronger foreign policy credentials? It did work for Obama in 2008; he was perceived as weak and inexperienced on FP and picked Biden partially to balance the ticket in that regard.
The trouble, of course, is most strong FP republicans aren’t the type to throw a lot of red meat to the tea partiers… I don’t envy his position. He’s got big shoes to fill for his running mate and no obvious candidate.
