She should have studied science, engineering or medicine. To make the US more competitive, financial assistance and scholarships should be limited to these majors only. Tuition and fees should be reduced for these majors and increased for all others.
It doesn’t make sense that recent grads cannot find jobs while engineers, doctors and scientists need to be brought from other countries to fill these high paying jobs. BTW these are the most popular degrees in China and India.
