UCG,
This is really isnt about the RSF station which was paid for mostly by developer fees. That aside the stone work on the exterior is unbeleivable. It is a sight to see and has nothing to do with seismic standards.
As for the La Costa station it is located on the edge of the community it serves having been moved from a prior location in the center of the community it serves. It is located in a nature preserve not where homes would ever be built. Some of the adjacent land was developed into homes and I dont like that either. I’m not a public sector is evil, private sector is good type of a guy. They all suck and look out for their best interests. My personal beef with the public secotr is their ability to extort public funds in the name of the public good and to operate without much of the market constraints that should apply.
You got so excited about seeing my east/north mistake, that you missed the content of my post. If you paid attention, the fact that I said “east” was obviously an accident (I was thinking about the fact that it serves the eastern side of LC) because I said that it serves the area along Melrose (which is to the north). They moved it to a more central location, and one where they can more easily serve all the new communities that have sprouted up along RSF.
