Yep!
We like hanging out in the front yard because neighbors stop by with their kids and/or dogs and we all play and chat with one another. We’ve made a number of good friends this way (one of the reasons we’re having a difficult time buying a house is that we don’t want to leave our neighbors).
Our neighborhood is full of people walking and playing outside, and we wouldn’t give that up for the world.
