Ok, so it’s not 4K, is *JUST* 3K IF they put 20% down – esp. when you add up MRs or HOAs AND Prop.taxes (ok, those can wash out with interest tax deduction)… Or 3.5 K if they put less than 20% and had to pay PMI…I still think that’s WAY too much. And it’s not even true in some ‘hoods like Carlsbad Aviara/La Costa, or CV, or CMR… 3K is the take home paycheck at an average salary…It shouldn’t make sense to spend one paycheck for housing, when one may lose its job. But it’s true, prices have come down a lot in many areas, esp. inland.
