SDR, I don’t know why all the vitriol towards brian. He apparently hasn’t contributed to population growth. He’s not taking up a lot of “space” and government benefits. He doesn’t have a fatcat government pension. He isn’t to blame because families who are currently eligible for food benefits are not using them correctly or availing themselves of ALL the benefits they are entitled to (incl. volunteering at the Food Bank).
I have children, but I, too, have always lived very simply. There’s nothing wrong with that. It is a fair tradeoff in order to be able to do things every year that I otherwise couldn’t if I lived more lavishly. I don’t have any relatives here and must travel to see them. Many are too old/infirm to travel to see me. I’m very grateful I have been able to do this at least once per year, because many are dead now. You only go thru this life once and when it’s over, it’s over.
