How about Dixie Beer? I have fond memories of Dixie Beer, BBQ and Rebel Yell bourbon (quite possibly the cheapest AND nastiest booze ever, but great if you want to get s**t faced and only had like $10).
Texas does have awesome BBQ, though. My wife hails from Houston and I really liked Goode Company down on Kirby.
