I get it. I think your strategy is quite sound. It isn’t like you are moving to another city and you can easily evaluate homes with a short drive from your current house, or on the way home from work, or even at lunch.
I think I remember in your last thread I mentioned Tierrasanta and you had some objections to it. I don’t love the home choices there but I have always liked the general area. It’s quite an easy drive into La Jolla. You’ll barely notice the extra 5 min over CLMT.
By the way, I gather that a house of our square footage on a lot this size in CV would cost roughly $300K more than this one in CLMT and it would need updating.
