Thanks! Yes, UC has great location and I will pay closer attention to catch immedaitely if something like this comes again on the market! I will be very curious to see what it closes at, if it gets overbid. When our lease expires in summer we’ll rent month to month and look seriously to buy. Yes, that’s a good idea, Scarlett. I don’t know how long 4636 Ramsay Ave was on the market, but if you keep your attention focused on the East UC market (more affordable than the west end), I think you will be able to find a good home in your price range. But you will have to ACT quickly if you are interested in a property. Since there are so few “affordable” listings there, I have no doubt that there are potential buyers (possibly w/relatives living in and scouting the neighborhood for them) just waiting for the right property to become available. That’s how it is where I live and most well-priced properties (even antiquated ones, like 4744 Ramsay Ave) sell very quickly, usually to someone with family living on the street or very close by.
