Why not? I am considering just very few different areas that are within reasonable commute,plus we like the neighborhoods, houses, etc in general; why not let the “choice” make the decision? [/quote]
Yes, the “choice” will make the decision but I guess I’m not understanding something. Since you don’t yet have a property to apply from, how can you put in a “choice” application? Could you do this from your current rental home? What if you end up buying a property too far from your “choice” school? If you happen to find a perfect property in Clairemont in say, the next 90 days and close by September, where will your kids go to school? It’s too late to apply for “choice” for the upcoming school year.
So it’s a case of the chicken or the egg – which comes first?
