What you wrote makes total sense to me, and I’ve suggested the same to my DH in moments of total frustration with this housing market (after which I’ve apologized and taken it back, BTW). It’s probably not the best idea when trying to keep a marriage intact and happy.
Like JP said, you’re in Temecula, for goodness sake! Prices there have already fallen by a fairly significant amount. Let me find a house for you guys, if you don’t feel comfortable doing it, or let TG help you. There’s no reason for you to be going through this right now. You can and should buy a house. From what you’ve said, it sounds like you guys make an excellent income and have some money set aside for a down payment. It also sounds like you plan on staying for a long, long time. Time to buy a house, scaredy. Let us know how it goes.
