Do you think this exuberance is in part due to the fact that you managed to buy a house that is better than you ever expected, and at a price that was probably better than you expected?
IIRC, some years ago, you had posted a question about one’s expectation for a house going up with every year that you bubble-sit. Maybe the fact that you were able to wait for so long and really define what you were looking for made it possible to take quick action when you found the home that exceeded your wildest expectations at a price you could realistically and responsibly afford.
Does your environment affect how you feel on a daily basis, especially when you’re able to get a home that provides everything you’ve ever wanted for your family?
…or is it the squats and rock throwing? To be sure, physical exercise helps one feel better mentally and emotionally.
Maybe it’s the fact that your kids are growing up to be even better than you had ever hoped.
Also, I think that with age, we really begin to appreciate how fragile life is, and we start to value every second of every day.
Having low expectations is the key to happiness, too, and you are certainly the type of person who tends to lean on the conservative side where expectations are concerned.
Whatever it is, may you have many, many, many more years of this joyful life! I’m so very happy for you!
