I agree in terms of ways to self-express, mixing up norms is a way to get yourself noticed. Does it mean that all millenials are out there dressing drag to display their artistic side? I would say a very small percentage because once it becomes a part of popular culture it loses value. My sister dressed goth in middle school and older kids dressed like Boy George. Clothing and dress has always been an outlet for self expression…especially for adolescents.
