LOL, and I was just about to retract my statement telling you not to buy, after you clarified your down payment situation.
In the end I think you went with your gut, and that’s a good thing. Just know that when you buy a house with 20 % down, you are going to have to part with a big chunk of change.
Finally, there is nothing wrong with renting. You have the ultimate freedom to make changes with 30 days notice. And from a financial perspective, it’s probably not a bad thing either. I really doubt we see any substantial price increase over the next decade. Good luck to you (and your realtor, LOL).
