It’s not the fault of the internet, Dave. It’s our fault(whether it bothers us or not). Try not to use that as an excuse to avoid the good points made.
I didn’t say it was the “fault” of the internet; I said it was the “nature” of the internet. If you cannot, or are unwilling to, properly elucidate what you’re trying to say, that’s your own fault – personally. It is the “nature” of the internet to run into folks who can’t properly elucidate. Personally, I may have plenty of faults, but that is not one of them. I mean what I say, I say what I mean, and I’m relatively clear about it – to a fault.
It seems like something has gotten under you skin beside my succinctness.I don’t want to make assumption though. I apologize for retracting the bimbo fetish comment.
Russell, this has nothing to do with “succinctness.” (You are a master of presenting Straw Man arguments.) It has to do with the meaning of your words.
First you say something – such as the “bimbo fetish” or “bankers are not evolved” comments – and then when I point out their absurdity, instead of defending your position or acknowledging you were wrong, you resort to saying, in effect, “Uh, oh… right, I was only joking.”
In and of itself, this is fine – this is the internet, after all. But can you not see that this type of behavior renders it difficult to have an intelligent discussion?
