Remember working retail during college when the first cheap electronic watches came out, was amazed how such a “perfect” watch could be so cheap. Think they were selling for only a couple of bucks back then. Doubt if anyone that bought one of those still has it. My grandfather bought a really expensive watch when he went to europe after retiring, it was gold, self winding, and probably swiss or something. Pretty sure my uncle inherited that watch though doubt if he wears it as it was quite large and heavy. I might get an android watch when they come down and are smaller, it would save me from reaching for the phone, I could do the Dick Tracy thing. Between now and Christmas I’ll probably change my mind on that though.
