Relative peace? Hmm… You are certainly right that Clinton did nothing after the first World Trade Center attacks, which probably emboldened the terrorists. Further, most of the planning for the second attack took place while Clinton was in office. Are we all supposed to pretend that the terrorists loved Clinton, took a sudden dislike to Bush and went into overdrive to blow up New York?
Clinton also did a great job of turning tail and running after Mogadishu. That did a nice hatchet job on our international credibility.
