Regarding the post about anti-abortionists not doing enough for the world’s poor, a recent study found that conservatives donate far more to charities than liberals. This was true even when church donations were taken out of the picture.
Also, FWIW Obama’s tax returns showed he and his $300,000+ per year wife gave under 2% of their income to charity last year. Bush reportedly gave over 10%, and McCain’s wife (OK, she’s rich) has done a lot for Rawanda for many years.
