I think the reason that Dr. Ron isn’t taken more seriously is the degree of insanity demonstrated regularly by his supporters. They don’t call them Paultards for nothing.

Oh, and the tea partiers are and have always been a bunch of folks led around by Dick Armey’s “FreedomWerks”. A tiny little search with Google will easily prove that’s where the idea started. Grassroots my eye.
