Michelle Obama — currently on unpaid leave from her $317,000-a-year job as a vice president of the prestigious hospital — helped create the program, which aims to find neighborhood doctors for low-income people who were flooding the emergency room for basic treatment. Sorry, I don’t see the problem. The ER is the most expensive place to seek medical attention. Redirecting non-emergency patients to other facilities makes sense.
Are patients being singled out based on race? That’s a grey area that’s hard to determine right away.
