That was the report that was thoroughly ridiculed from the left back when they came out with a draft. Among other things, it recommends that we lower the top marginal income tax rate, at least to 29% but possibly as low as 23%; and that we cut government workforce by 10% and impose a three year pay freeze on those left on the payroll (and, I guess, just expect them to work harder for less money, so that the same amount of work gets done).
The real savings though come from the Medicare reform, down in the second half of the document. I’m not qualified to comment on those.
