It sounds like you have a wonderful house, and getting the right location and lot trumps the “right” house, IMHO. It must be great to be able to get to Balboa Park, Coronado, etc. easily.
A few weeks ago, we went to a party down by San Carlos, and immediately fell in love with the hosts’ house (and a big “thank you” to the wonderful hosts, who also read here from time to time…just in case you’re reading this.) 🙂 It’s the very house we’ve spent so many years looking for, but when we looked at a map in an attempt to find some kind of shortcut to NCC (there were none), we realized we’d have to spend far too much time driving, and had to give up on the area.
