[quote=pbnative]We must take care of the less-than-smart people. Everyone should have food, clothing, shelter, and health care. As a country, as a planet, this is our responsibility. But we must not procreate irresponsibly.

PBnative, I beg to differ although we probably have the same thoughts on this. I agree that everyone should have food, shelter and clothing, but what truly defines the less fortunate? I believe a person begging on the side of the street is probably just as capable as anyone to handle some sort of job.
If everyone in society became dependent on government money than eventually the country wouldn’t be able to sustain itself. This country just gives too much without some way of educating. If your father gave you money to survive every month at some point you wouldn’t remember or care what it was like to hold a job because you wouldn’t need one. That is my main point here. We have to focus on a system that will work because it is quite obvious the current one is broken. This government can and should not enable to irresponsible and lazy. That said the less fortunate should be taken care, but we need to draw the line between the less fortunate and the lazy.
