[quote=paramount]I think in general Temecula is severely underrated by those who live in San Diego – Temecula is an awesome place to live.
I was recently at Harmony Grove (west Escondido) on opening day touring the model homes, and Temecula was looking better by the minute. Harmony Grove looks like a bad value IMO based on prices/taxes for what you get…
And the commutes are not necessarily 60 miles — mine is about 40 minutes.
The values of my Temecula properties have gone up so much I could literally go into semi-retirement. And I’m decades under the age of 65.
I will say this though about Temecula: Only buy in Temecula if you want:
*Great Schools
*Very Low Crime
*Great shopping and wineries
*Very nice climate for the vast majority of the year
*Great place to raise a family
*Reasonable housing prices for the 99%
*New hospital
And the Temecual Valley is very pretty IMO.

Not disagreeing with what you’ve said here regarding the perks of living in Temecula, but weren’t you the one who was ranting about how bad Temecula was and how you were trapped there against your will when the housing bubble burst?
