outtamojo, I wasn’t trying to pry and don’t really care enough to. You just sounded like you hated your hometown and were glad to get away and you are entitled to your feelings about a place.
I personally would LOVE to own a property with either Prop 13 or Mills Act tax treatment (where it was or what it looked like would be secondary to me).
If I could relocate to NoCal, even back to Alameda County NOW, I would not be sitting here working but would be packing instead. That’s how *I* feel about it. After 35+ years, I’m totally fed up with the “sunshine tax.”
