OT – I heard the Bill Gates thing from a few people.
Bill Gates was admitted to Harvard after scoring 1590/1600 on SAT, he had an exceptional IQ, he had a dad willing and capable of buying a developed OS for his son and he dropped after being noticed by some smart students and instructors and after the business with Paul Allen took off. His knowledge and skills were beyond college level by the time he dropped out.
The problem with those who cite Gate’s example is that their SAT score is <1200, they were enrolled in CSUSM, their IQ 95-100 at best, their parents' net worth is negative and their business is imaginary.
