sorry guys, just a very disappointed former Republican.
OCR: Actually, I feel your pain (as a former Republican myself). I haven’t voted GOP since 1996 (Dole), instead voting either Independent or Libertarian.
I watched “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday, and one of the guests was Darrel Issa. I was very impressed with his command of the various issues, specifically healthcare and the bailouts and he wasn’t baited into the usual Right versus Left nonsense that Maher tries with his Republican guests. I remember thinking that, instead of interesting and open dialogue from reps like Issa, the Republicans are now represented by the likes of Palin and Limbaugh.
What really galls me the most is the massive opportunity being lost by true conservatives by not having a voice or being able to galvanize the party when it matters most (NOW!).
I don’t think Obama and Co. have a clue and these various programs are paving the road to ruin and the GOP has now become a tired, pathetic punchline.
