Just like you said, many people respond and relate better to specific examples. The housing bubble examples you gave day in and day out were a great balance to the Schiller/Rich/Mish/Mr. Mortgage charts and analysis. Showing my wife a chart returns the “Deer in the headlights” response. Showing her a picture of a house that is a few miles away, and giving her the specifics on the fraud or measure of distress paints the perfect picture for her. She got it, we sold, we’re now renting, and I’m thankful to blogs like yours and the Piggs out there. So thank you.
