No, that doesn’t diagree with what I said at all. I specifically said that *overtime* does not count toward the base pay calculations used to determine the benefits in all the cases I’m aware of. I did say that people used other tactics which need to be banned.
BTW, it was Gray Davis’ blunder, not Pete Wilson’s. It was certainly a poor decision on Gov. Davis’ part, and while I strongly support rolling this pension boost back, there are a lot of employees who were depending on a certain benefit who are now a decade older and less able to make up for any shortfalls (especially in this economy). I wouldn’t call them winners at all, as they’re likely to get slammed at some point, IMHO. Losers all around. 🙁
