Just be glad you guy’s don’t live in LA is all I can say.[/quote]
As a worker, LA County can be a fine place to live if you live near your work (not fwy dependent). IMO, the reason the roads are so crowded there is because a lot of folks refuse to live near work. I’ve stayed overnight in a few homes in LA County and I thought the neighborhoods were awesome! Even walked to mom & pop stores after dark. How about large pier-and-post homes on larger-than-city-std lots. Many with large front porches. Alley access garages. Mature tree medians in street. Ex: Downey, Lakewood, Pasadena.
Heading northwest for larger ranch-style houses, I’m sure there are even good “cosmetic fixer” bargains in older “upscale” places like Bel-Air.
Just throwing a few (out of many) examples out there.
I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA why someone would VOLUNTARILY CHOOSE to commute to LA, Orange or SD Co. to work from RIV or SB County. It’s absolutely mind-boggling and MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL . . . :={
