I have some acerage in Texas that I lease out each year for grazing and farming. I bought it over 10 years ago and it has almost doubled in value, although the value is not like the value of owning a home. I also got lucky and have had a producing oil and natural gas well on it for the last seven years. Another good thing is that the cows never call and need the plumbing fixed.
