My wife works for the gov’t. Jobs that are assigned to be completed in 4 months could easily be done in one month. Her coworkers would scold her for ‘working’ because that would take away the overtime. She works about 2 hours a day because if you try to work any more than that you will turn your coworkers against you and they can be very nasty. I will benefit too because she has 401K in addition to a very generous pension. However, I don’t know if it lasts long enough or the gov’t will go bankrupt before she could retires.
