My two cents from experience – as flu said, there is a difference in quality between windshields. I’ve had a Toyota and Mazda windshield replaced with cheaper aftermarket windshields (one by Allstar, one by a dealer subcontractor). Both fog up much easier than OEM and the wipers are no longer as effective in rain. I’ve tried various coatings, but it doesn’t help. Next time I’ll pay the extra money.
