Most of my friends are the people I met in college and their individual incomes ranging from $60K to $120K (Accountants, Engineers, ITs and Pharmacists). Most of us are immigrants from Asia so we tend to spend a little less than Native born Americans. I have been working for 7 years and saved around $70K (with another $40K in 401K). I would say my saving is about average among my friends. One Pharmacist friend saved over $150K because he has been working over 60 hrs per week for the last 3 years. On the other end, one guy is $40K in debt because of his gambling habits.
