I would have loved to live around scenic drive above La Jolla Shores. But so would a lot of people and therefore the prices are out of my reach. But I could afford, and bought, a house in Bay Ho in 2014. Less people wanted to live in that area so it was cheaper.
There is a house in my area for low 500s. Is that not close enough to the coast?
BTW, the problem with being close to the coast is commute times. When I lived in PB my commute was a pain. Now my commute is great.
