Mass psychology is seldom rational – it’s emotion driven. Obama was elected on top of a imploding economy against somebody that reminded the country of the guy in office. I think if the election was held today, Obama would win, but not by the margin he came to office with. If anything more than a mild recession occurs Obama is probably in trouble. The libertarians went to Obama last go around because they were sick of the wars. This time around they have the mentality of “anything but Obama”.
What Allan was showing was a lack of energy in the Democratic base. Which has been destroyed by Obama. The only thing that energizes a lot of them is fear of the other guy.
