Whoa, Marion……………don’t count those chickens before they hatch. I don’t know what world you live in but McCain has a pretty good chance of being the next President. I don’t care which one of them wins but I do like to play “what -if” with this upcoming beauty contest. There are a lot of people who are fed up with Bush and the Iraq war but that doesn’t guarantee that they won’t vote for McCain just because he has said that the U.S. should stay as long as it takes to finish the job. (something that I don’t agree with)
I know several people that I see on a regular basis who are life-long Democrats and they are enamored with John McCain. All of them point to his age & experience as a positive. They say that if you take a logical look at Obama, he is pretty much an empty suit with no real political accomplishments. I’ve heard and read this before and there is some truth to this. Don’t stick your head in the sand and make blanket statements like McCain doesn’t have a chance to many people or you’re very likely to be eating a lot of crow after the election.
As for Hillary as VP, have you ever considered that a move like that on Obama’s part would make him look like a first class idiot to anyone who was on the fence as to who to vote for? His whole message has been “a new beginning”, “change”, etc etc etc. An Obama/Clinton ticket would most likely send more voters to McCain. It would be an idiotic political move.
