Lets go back to the comment about 4-5 miles outside of downtown. Its actually 8 miles from downtown to the east. If you nor your friend are familiar with downtown, I suggest you both come downtown and then drive south, or drive east. I think it will be eye opening. I don’t know the crime stats for the particular area of the condo you listed, but the demographics going just a few miles in either direction of downtown, that being 92101, is very very diverse. There are some nice neighborhoods and there are some very bad ones.
