Kewp, that is just the problem, everyone happens to look inside the box. A busy Costco doesn’t necessarily mean our economy is booming. Costco means bulk and people are sometimes misled that Costco is the cheapest. Even in the new “Greatest Depression” Wal-Mart will thrive because they offer the cheapest products in town, so don’t kid yourself into thinking a busy store means everything is ok.
It’s the small things that actually trouble me. If the cost of goods hits a certain point due to inflation which seems inevitable, I can only imagine, just based on this fact alone, that we could see some serious issues here in the US.
No one really knows what could happen. As you well know this country is emotionally based. If the media starts pushing out the true picture of our country things could change overnight. Right now they are doing quite well at hiding the facts. They can’t hide the numbers for to long and when that happens I would hope that those who had the chance to prepare did so!
The last few years I have spent ample time burying my head into the current numbers that directly effect our economy. I’ve looked at unemployment numbers to debt and I personally feel we are at an unsustainable point in this country and globally.
Like I always say, “Prepare for the worst, but HOPE for the best”. I am not referring to the type of Hope Barack Obama was shooting for. That type of hope is a crowd of people thinking one person can do it all. This country is far too lazy to solve such a great calamity, they want everyone handed down on a silver platter while the responsible fit the bill.
Trust me, things are going to get much worse and if you don’t think we are going to see some catastrophic issues in this country you will be sorely mistaken.
