-Eliminate any and all public benefits to illegal immigrants.

Easier said than done. Would you turn away a dying child at an emergency room because his parents brought him into the country illegally?

-If American employers choose to hire illegal immigrants, they must agree to pay for ALL of their (and their familys’) healthcare, education, legal, and other expenses.

Hah, so if you break law (A) you must follow law (B). What incentive would they have to follow the law?[/quote]
Kewp,
No, I wouldn’t turn away a dying baby, but I WOULD bill whomever is responsible for that baby being here (the employer).
Let’s just assume that one way for an “illegal immigrant” to be here **legally** (so as not to encourage breaking the law) would be to have the employer pay for all the above things for the worker and whomever he/she brings with him/her. They wouldn’t be citizens, but would effectively have a work permit ONLY if the employer pays for all their benefits — the taxpayers (whose wages are being brought down by immigrant labor) should not have to subsidize the employers so they can have cheap labor.
I would enforce this by having regular ICE/INS raids. Any employer caught with illegal labor is fined heavily, and after three times, loses his/her business (govt liquidates to pay off fines and debts) and faces possible jail time. Believe me, we could fix the “illegal immigrant” problem very quickly and efficiently, if only we determine to do it.
By doing this, immigrants and U.S. workers would both benefit.
