the seller (Liebke) signed the property over to Brookside Land Trust which shows Frederick Licht as trustee.
According to the internets, Licht is affiliated with Ultimate sports (formerly surgical laser, inc).
Basically, it looks like there is a dude (licht) who forms trusts who probably have one trustee who has a BK and thus can postpone the REO indefinitely.
Its a common (and generally legal) scam here.
Makes it very hard to close and stretches the process out years.
Incidentally, the owner resides in LA now.
Probably, he should just rent this place out and get what he can while he can.
