I’ve traveled to many places in the world and the weather here is nice, but our beaches leave something to be desired. I won’t go into how San Diego County and the State of California are maintaining the City, County and State. If anyone has done any traveling, they will not argue that there’s better out there.
However, finding the place that suits you for the time in your life, for your work, family, etc is the trick. I think if we had enough global warming, I’d consider moving back East. But since I’m intolerant of the snow, I’ll be sticking around here for a while.
My friend in New Jersey was complaining about the taxes. That state is like a vampire for taxes. But driving down streets is like driving on a new road. No potholes, no sewer mains breaking. They are taxed to death, but the states uses the money properly
Sometimes I think it costs way more to live there than here and the houses aren’t exactly cheap either. I guess it’s paradise to some people that live there. They want the proximity to NYC and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Jersey shore is not so horrible. You of course have to pay to go on the beach, but it’s very clean.
