I’ve hit a lot of the California coast this year traveling. Eureka, Crescent City, Shelter Cove, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Lompoc, Santa Barbara, SF, SD, LA, OC.
The one commonality through July, prices! I remember sitting in Eureka in July looking at the home sale magazines you pick up in the grocery store asking my finance who pays this much up here? Run of the mill ranch house in the little town Oregon border area, $500,000+. No view, regular lot, nothing. $500K, $600K, and up. It was like looking at the housing mags in SoCal.
BTW, Hercules CA isn’t podunk, it’s 10 miles outside of Berkeley, in the East Bay area of SF.
