I’ve been there a lot over the years and haven’t had this problem. But I have to agree that they aren’t the nicest people in the world working there and have run into rude people working the stand.
I can’t believe the groups couldn’t have worked out this problem though. Go to the stand, take out the excess strawberries (they sell strawberries at the stand without picking them yourself) and leave. But I’m sure if I were there with my husband, we would have just gotten into the car with whatever amount of strawberries we had and left or there would have been a strawberry food fight between us and the “fat man”. I mean come on, is the guy sitting there with a gun telling you you can’t leave?
