I’ve been in that property on a SOHO tour a few years back. I believe it may have a Mills Act contract. Yes, it does suffer from jet-takeoff noise but the flat and parklike dog-walking ‘hood of Plumosa Park is a great area to live in (or near). I’ve also been in a smaller house designed by Delawie in Univ Heights located directly over the Radisson on Hotel Circle North. This one is in much better shape and the smaller one now suffers from the echo of Mission Valley and I-8.
$975K is a fair price for the size and design and possible tax abatement. Being a mid-century architecture fan, I don’t care for the spiral staircase but love the rest of the house :=)
Next time I go dtn, I’m going to make an appt to pick up a list of Mills Act properties in SD. My understanding is that there are currently about 850 accepted into the program and the City is not accepting any more at this time. I DO have lists for other cities but not SD.
