Is bone grafting after impacted wisdom teeth pull really necessary? I have a case where my wisdome tooth is completely impacted and is close to nerve — meaning, it’s impacted pretty deep. Oh and by the way, it’s completely upside down sitting on an angle pushing on the next tooth at a 45 degree angle.
3D imaging shows it’s close nerve but not enough to be very very complicated. One dentist recommended doing a bone grafting while other says it’s not necessary.
Why is there a difference in opinion? Bone grafting isn’t covered by insurance and it’s expensive… Any info would be appreciate it.
