In the later Google image, the garage pad looks complete. Considering that the dug out areas are going to be the new foundation edge, they probably cut the J-bolts in the old locations–which makes using the old foundation edges difficult (J-bolts need to hook under the top rebar in the foundation) It also looks like they cut down into the existing foundation for new load walls/posts? (Only thing I can think of for those cut out areas)
